What a terrible experience dealing with iWest Goondiwindi. I dropped my broken computer to these guys to get fixed and a week later was told the logic board had completely died and it would cost about $1300 or so for a new one. Alternatively, I could just throw out my computer. As it was a fairly old machine, I decided I'd have to part ways with it, but before I did I asked if they could recover the data from the hard drive. The guys said they probably could and to leave it with them. A month passed before I went back to the shop to check on how it was going. In this time, it turns out they hadn't even looked at my machine. They said they would contact me when it's ready. Poor form.Another month passed - so about 10 weeks since I originally dropped my computer off. I called them to find out what was going on. The girl on the counter answered my call with "hello," which is a pretty poor way to answer the phone in a business setting. She said my computer was no good and that the technicians (both of them) couldn't get any data off of it. This didn't seem right, and according to research I'd done, it should be possible to recover this data. I went in and took my computer back off them. To this day, I don't think they even looked at it. The girl on the counter said the technician was meant to call me, but I had no missed calls from their number. She said that he was a bit slack and may not have called me. Seriously? Later that day, I went to Dorchester Computing in town and within 1 hour of dropping it off, Peter had solved my problem - the RAM had come loose. He was able to get my machine back to its former glory and I was able to backup all of my data. And here I was about to spend $3800 on a new machine thanks to the advice from the "experts" at iWest. I would not recommend iWest to anybody. They are unprofessional, have poor communication and clearly haven't got a clue about the technical side of computers. The store itself is untidy and messy - which basically sums up their business as a whole. Very disappointing.

The guys are great
